Micron Plans $40 Billion U.S. Investment Through End of Decade

Micron Technology said Tuesday it plans to invest $40 billion in the U.S. through the end of the decade. “With the anticipated grants andcredits made possible by the CHIPS and Science Act, this investment willenable the world’s most advanced memory manufacturing in America,” the company said in a statement. Congress at the end of last month passed a $280 billion bill intended to boost U.S. competitiveness with China in technology, including $52 billion to invest in chip manufacturing.
