Pfizer settles false advertising charges

Charges made against Pfizer Inc.'s copayment coupon program have been settled. According to Attorney General Barbara Underwood, the New York pharma giant (NYSE: PFE) allegedly engaged in false business and advertising practices. As part of the program, consumers were told that they would “pay no more than” $15 or $20, for example, for certain drugs – but "ended up spending far more at the pharmacy cash register," according to Underwood.
