Google’s fiber retreat means fresh opportunity for AT&T, report says

AT&T isn’t about to let a failed Google effort go to waste. The Dallas-based telecommunications and media giant is ramping up efforts in Louisville to attract customers to its fiber service after tech behemoth Google gave up on the locale recently, according to a report in the Louisville Courier Journal. AT&T (NYSE: T) has begun sending representatives to local coffee shops to meet with Google customers in a key, vibrant neighborhood, according to the report.
