Lumentum Holdings Inc. said Friday that Wajid Ali will join the optical equipment maker as chief financial officer, replacing interim CFO Christopher Coldren, effective Feb. 11. Ali was previously CFO at Synaptics Inc. , which announced he was leaving late Thursday. Coldren has served as interim CFO, after previous CFO Aaron Tachibana resigned from the position last June. Lumentum's stock fall 1.7% in premarket trade, while Synaptics shares dropped 6.3%, after the company reported fiscal second-quarter results late Thursday. Lumentum shares have dropped 23% over the past 12 months through Thursday, while the S&P 500 has gained 4.9%.
