Three Alabama colleges receive grants from CVS Health

CVS Health will be presenting three Alabama colleges with grants to advocate for, adopt and implement smoke- and tobacco- free campus policies. Lawson State Community College in Birmingham, Lurleen B. Wallace Community College and Andalusia and the University of West Alabama in Livingston will receive a total of $59,786 in grants from the CVS Health Foundation. “A critical goal in building healthier communities across the country is reducing tobacco-use, which remains one of the leading causes of preventable death in this country,” said Eileen Howard Boone, president of the CVS Health Foundation.
