US steel suppliers and customers confront the uncertainty created by Trump's tariffs

Uncertainty about President Trump's tariffs have made it difficult to price steel in advance. "Customers are trying to figure out based upon these tariffs and potentially quotas how that changes their supply chain and who they are going to be buying their product from," the CEO of Majestic Steel told CNBC. Companies that had previously sourced their steel from countries affected by the tariffs are seeing their bottom line and supply chain change dramatically.
