Chatbot maker Conversable acquired by LivePerson

Conversable — an Austin startup that created "chatbots" allowing big brands like McDonalds, Dunkin’ Donuts, Chick-fil-A and Pizza Hut to communicate automatically with customers — has been acquired by a publicly traded company out of New York City. LivePerson (Nasdaq: LPSN) has acquired Conversable for an undisclosed amount, according to a Monday announcement. Ben Lamm and Andrew Busey started Conversable in 2014 and brought it out of stealth mode in 2016.
