It's official: Dallas' AT&T completes the acquisition of Time Warner, remaking the telecommunication company

AT&T Inc. has officially closed on the acquisition of Time Warner Inc. following a judge’s decision to clear the way for the merger that remakes the Dallas-based company. “We’re going to bring a fresh approach to how the media and entertainment industry works for consumers, content creators, distributors and advertisers,” AT&T Chief Executive Officer Randall Stephenson said in a statement. Jeff Bewkes, who had led Time Warner as chief executive officer, will serve as a “senior advisor during a transition period,” Dallas-based AT&T said.
