Sunday was the busiest air travel day of the year as Americans returned home from their Thanksgiving travels. Air traffic on Sunday exceeded 2.4 million people, and has surpassed 2 million on eight of the last 10 days, according to Transportation Security Administration counts of people passing through U.S. airport checkpoints. From Monday, Nov. 22, through Saturday, about 400 domestic flights were canceled, 0.33% of what was scheduled, according to FlightAware.com, which tracks real-time data across airlines.
