FedEx has signed on for a new western U.S. data center. Las Vegas-based Switch — a global technology infrastructure ecosystem corporation — announced Monday, April 29, that it signed a 10-year deal with the Memphis-based shipping and logistics company. As part of that agreement, Switch will serve as FedEx’s western U.S. data center and will deliver 2.5 megawatts of 100 percent green power in the first year and up to 8 megawatts by the 10th year of the arrangement.
