Gov. Tom Wolf on Monday announced a statewide initiative to secure a hydrogen hub and large-scale carbon storage system in Pennsylvania in an effort to gain a share of $8 billion in federal funding for such efforts. The Wolf administration also announced it had signed a declaration with 24 companies and nonprofits on the transition to decarbonization, including the major players in the Pittsburgh region including Shell Chemical, EQT Corp. (NYSE: EQT) and United States Steel Corp. (NYSE: X) that have banded together for a public private partnership.
