Alums from this failed health tech start-up now hold key roles at Apple, Amazon, Alphabet and others

In 2012, a group of MIT researchers came up with an idea to measure blood pressure around the clock with a wristwatch. The start-up they formed, Quanttus, made some progress on design and battery life, but the basic science didn't work consistently and the company eventually ran out of money and failed. Today, Quanttus alums can be found at many major tech companies, including Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, Fitbit, Microsoft, Nike and Samsung.
