has pushed the S&P 500 to close at its highest level since February 1, with stocks extending their winning streak as earnings season gets underway. The S&P 500 ended the day up 0.34 per cent at 2.793.61, with consumer non-cyclicals and telecoms at the top of the heap while financials fell to the bottom. earlier on Tuesday, was the benchmark index’s biggest gainer, ending the day up 4.68 per cent for its biggest one-day percentage gain since August 2009.
