John Schnatter, owner of national pizza chain Papa John’s, confirmed he used the N-word during a training call, Forbes reported Wednesday. “News reports attributing the use of inappropriate and hurtful language to me during a media training session regarding race are true,” he said in an emailed statement to Forbes. The public face of the pizza franchise used the word during a conference call with Papa John’s executives and the marketing agency Laundry Service in May.
