Amazon is a wonderland of products, and you can find almost anything and everything within its massive volume of listings. In fact, you’ve probably put this to the test wondering, “Is it possible that Amazon has this, too?” — and after doing a quick search, you discovered that yes, it does. It should come as no surprise, considering the site has millions of products available.

1884 S American Silver Morgan Dollar

  • List Price: $850,000

This 1884 silver dollar carries the prestigious Illinois Set pedigree and is considered to be one of the rarest of its type. It is CAC certified “for its bright luster and incredible detail,” according to the listing. It likely stopped being worth just $1 long ago.

It remains to be seen how the Susan B. Anthony silver dollar, which was more widely made, will appreciate over time. Right now, a 1979 uncirculated edition is available for $2.99 at Amazon.

Daum Crystal Tranchlucide Black/Silver Statue

  • List Price: $280,500

The Daum studio was born in France in 1878, and the company uses the unique method of fusing its crystals with fire, transforming them into pieces for interior decor or jewelry. Much of the studio’s focus is on creations that reveal the beauty of women, as well as flora and fauna. The Black/Silver statue stands nearly 26 inches tall and was made by hand in France and kiln-fired for 10 days.

If you are itching to own a Daum, you could look into the Daum crystal golden retriever, listed on Amazon for $384.99. It stands just 4 ½ inches tall.

Patek Philippe Nautilus White Gold Men's Watch with Blue Sunburst Dial

  • List Price: $235,000

The 18-karat white gold extends to the hands and hour markers on the blue sunburst dial, which also features separate day, month and date settings. Water-resistant to 60 meters, the watch includes the coveted Geneva seal, meaning the Swiss-made timepiece passed inspection from an independent bureau in Geneva. The company has been in business since 1839 and still can repair its oldest watches. Patek Philippe bills itself as the last independent, family-owned watch manufacturer in Geneva.

If you’re in the market for a less-expensive Patek Philippe model, a simpler, certified pre-owned model with a brown leather band is available for $9,950.

Platinum Solitaire Diamond Engagement Ring, Brilliant Cut

List Price: $75,960

Another stunning piece of jewelry is a 4.1-carat round solitaire diamond engagement ring set on a platinum band. The stone is of J color and SI1 clarity, which makes it a less-than-flawless diamond under standards set by the Gemological Institute of America, but it’s still beautiful.

If this one is out of your price range, you might consider a ¾-carat solitaire diamond on a white gold band that is selling for $999 on Amazon.

Lladro 'Niagara' Chandelier

  • List Price: $100,650

The Lladro brothers formed their company in Spain in 1953, creating pieces out of porcelain. The “Niagara” chandelier features delicate porcelain butterflies hanging from the base.

A simpler Lladro butterfly sculpture is listed on Amazon for $153.90.

Natural Camphorwood Carved '1000 Arms Avalokiteshvara of Goddess and Dragon' Statue

  • List Price: $99,800

This 61-inch statue would start the conversation in any home. The intricate carving shows even the smallest of details of Avalokiteshvara, known as the bodhisattva of compassion.

If you don’t have room in your home for a 5-foot-tall statue, Amazon has a bronze Buddha idol that is just 7 inches tall for $35.99.

Handmade Wool and Silk Round Rug

  • List Price: $81,433

The circular rug measures 16 1/2 feet in diameter and was hand knotted – 300 knots per square inch – from wool and silk pile with a silk foundation. The primary color is black, with splashes of green, ivory, light blue, red, rust, coral, purple and more. The listing states the rug should have a lifespan of more than 20 years.

Now, that’s a huge rug, but if you can make do with one about 12 feet in diameter, the La Jolla Collection Tone-on-Tone Traditional Ivory/Blue Round Rug is available on Amazon for $244.99.

Be Mindful of Scams and Fake Items

Amazon is full of apparently good deals — and not-so-good deals — on jewelry, art, collectibles and sports memorabilia, but be aware of scams, especially when you’re eyeing up expensive items. If a third-party vendor’s price seems too good to be true, chances are it is. Do some hard research and fact-checking before you buy.
