There are more influencers creating content than ever before, and while the industry is booming, it can be hard to separate the good content from the great when there is so much to scroll through every time we refresh Instagram. Most influencers seem to exist in packs in major cities like New York or Los Angeles, but there are tons of inspiring content creators in smaller cities and tiny towns throughout the country who are well worth the follow. You'll find them making their local coffee shops, Instagram-friendly walls and apartments look just as chic as the Manhattan skyline or "Hollywood" sign.

Here are 12 of our current favorite fashion influencers who that prove that you don't need to live in a metropolitan city or have a massive follower count, but rather a loyal tribe of people who get you, to be successful.

Paige Auber

For a crash course in how to mix contemporary and vintage pieces, head over to Paige Auber's Instagram feed. This lovely lady is based in Portland, Maine, and a quick scroll through her photos will reveal some delightful waterfront spots, creative mirror selfies, dainty details and, if you're lucky, a pic of her corgi Turnip, who we also recommend following.

Lauryn Hock

Lauryn Hock's vibrant Instagram feed can speak for itself, but we'll add in a few accompanying words. The Salt Lake City-based influencer quit her teaching day job to pursue blogging full-time and is instantly recognized for her photos that deliver on style, sass and saturation. You can often catch her in denim pieces or wearing cowboy boots.

Tamira Laboy

Tamira Laboy understands the appeal of the perfect oversized blazer so well that she literally started a brand dedicated to it. The Pennsylvania-based brains behind @theoversizestore loves tailored pieces and neutrals equally, with the occasional dose of home decor sprinkled throughout her feed.

Sydney Grace

People likely stumble onto Sydney Grace's account and hit follow for her epic outfits, but they'll keep coming back because she advocates for the plus-style community and encourages discussions about sustainable fashion. Not one to shy away from color, the Baton Rouge-based blogger's followers will often see her in flowy skirts and mini dresses with some activewear mixed in.

Hannah Lee

If you're a fan of detail shots, unexpected angles and all-around well-executed classic style, Hannah Lee is a must-follow. The Boston-based blogger doesn't shy away from out-of-the-box shots and they're part of what makes her profile so endearing. A peek inside her closet would likely reveal white button-downs, perfectly worn denim and blazers galore.

Daniela Moreno

Daniela Moreno seamlessly combines old school Miami vibes with her totally modern style sensibility. One glance at her feed will reveal her favorite beauty products, dreamy shots of the sky and OOTDs shot in front of simple backgrounds to really allow the details of her clothing shine through in the photos.

Valerie Eguavoen

In between serving some serious looks, Valerie Eguavoen is not afraid to disrupt her beautiful gallery of photos with content that calls out industry issues, like the need for quality options for plus-size women and the lack of diversity in fashion. A screenshot of some real talk in her DMs feels right at home next to a 'fit pic because both are crucial parts of the Durham-based blogger's persona.

Jamie Hamilton

It'd be hard to name anyone who loves prints more than Jamie Hamilton. Known to her followers as Jamie JeTaime, this curvy influencer based out of Tucson. On any given day you can expect her outfits to give you retro girly inspiration, and she often commits to a head-to-toe color palette or seamlessly layering multiple prints in one look.

Hannah Riley

Birmingham-based fashion and interior stylist Hannah Riley may have icy blonde hair, but her images and captions always evoke a warm and nostalgic feeling. Through grainy overlays and film-inspired effects, you'll see the essence of her style: traditional southern belle frocks paired with more tailored separates.

Tonya Smith

Tonya Smith is fluent in the language of neutrals. On the feed of this style blogger from Portland, Ore., known affectionately as The Mop Top, you'll find white, beige and black dominate her wardrobe with the occasional colorful accessory, like red boots or a mustard bag sneaking their way into her feed.

Jenee' Marie

We all have that one stylish friend who can walk into a room and own it, and we feel like all of Jenee' Marie's Instagram followers must feel that way about her. This Washington D.C.-based influencer is not afraid to make a statement, whether it's a puff sleeve, an eye-catching accessory or a bold red lip.

Kimberly Anne

They say perspective is everything and Kimberly Anne has totally mastered this concept. The San Diego-based influencer is not afraid to turn the camera on its side, put it on the ground or test out an out-there pose to capture her artistic expression just the way she wants it. If you have an affinity for intriguing photos and cool accessories, like headbands and tinted sunglasses, then look no further.
