A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection to a late-night shooting that sent two women to the hospital, Salem Police said.

Salem Police received a call just after midnight Monday of a shooting at an apartment complex at the 3300 block of D Street in Salem.

Police said they found a 24-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl injured with gunshot wounds. The two victims were treated and transported to Salem Health hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Salem Police said they located two juvenile boys who matched the description of the suspects in the crime.

One of the juveniles, a 17-year-old boy, was charged on suspicion of attempted murder, assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
