2015 Cadillac Escalade is Big, Bold and Back in Business

Following the web debut of the Chevy Tahoe/Suburban and GMC Yukon, Cadillac yesterday unveiled its new and improved Escalade in NYC. In short, the Big Apple was met with a big statement from the luxury automaker. Unlike its other GM counterparts, the Escalade makes a name for itself with dramatic lines from the current Cadillac design language. The package is defined by a demanding chrome grille, long, angular headlights, and massive chrome wheels.

Inside, it’s much of the same, new luxury you’d come to expect. Features like “real wood combined with premium cut-and-sewn materials,” coat the center console and dash. It all makes for a newly found “feeling of quality,” says Cadillac.

Sitting on a traditional body-on-frame architecture — the very same on the new Suburban and Yukon — the Escalade offers both 2WD and 4WD layouts, paired to Chevy’s new 420-hp 6.2-liter V8. More power, and assumedly, more efficiency over previous generations.

Pricing and further details haven’t been given just yet, but we expect the new Escalade on the road by early next year after an appearance at the LA Auto Show later next month.
