2016 SDX Brand Diego Awards Honorees Announced

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - November 17, 2016) - SDX, San Diego's premier media, marketing and technology organization for brands, agencies, publishers and startups, announced the 2016 SDX Brand Diego Awards Honorees at a celebration last night at the Corky McMillin Event Center in Liberty Station.

"The Brand Diego Awards allow us to take a moment to honor the brands, agencies and media companies and individuals who are doing incredible work. As a San Diegan, I'm extremely proud of this talented, creative and inspiring community of professionals," said Brian Hilemon, 2016/17 SDX president.

SDX is proud to name Stone Brewing Company as the SDX Brand of the Year, which honors a San Diego company that has achieved extraordinary success building a global brand. Of note, Stone recently opened a brewery in Germany, shaking up the beer establishment in that country. The late Carmella Spencer was awarded the SDX President's Award. Carmella was highly active in the San Diego advertising and marketing community for many years, including holding positions on the SDX board and as SDX president.

And Jon Bailey, Partner/Founder of San Diego agency i.d.e.a., received the Paula E. Sullivan Award for excellence and contributions to the advertising profession. Jon has been a longtime advocate for the communications and marketing industries here in San Diego.
