The 2018 Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX is a 201-horsepower supercharged cruiser

When it comes to power-to-weight ratios, motorcycles are on a whole other level than cars. 200ish horsepower might make for a reasonably quick car (think Honda Civic Si), but in a motorcycle, 200 horsepower is an absolutely bonkers figure. That's part of what makes the 201-hp 2018 Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX and it's 2.8 pounds-per-pony so impressive (we're talking Bugatti Veyron power ratios here). That and the bright green paint.

This is the third supercharged motorcycle from the Japanese manufacturer, following on the H2 and H2R. According to Asphalt and Rubber, the model comes in two flavors, the black H2 SX and the green H2 SX SE. The SE comes with a thin TFT color dash, cornering lights, launch control and a quickshifter.

The new model is intended to be more of a touring bike and packs a five-gallon fuel tank and small pad for a rear passenger. Cruise control is standard and a new internal measurement unit adds cornering ABS and different traction control settings.

As impressive as the big engine may be, it does have to offset a good bit of weight. At 564 pounds, it's a bit of a porker compared to other motorcycles at this price point. Still, this isn't intended to be a track bike, so the weight may not be such a big deal. The engine weighs slightly less than the 310 horsepower supercharged inline-four in the H2R.
