Why John Legend and Kanye West aren’t tight anymore
We probably won’t see Kimye hanging out around John Legend and Chrissy Teigen any time soon, and quarantine isn’t to blame.
In an interview with the Sunday Times, Legend said he and the rapper aren’t as tight anymore because they’re at “different places in their lives.”
The two couples were close for years — Legend even performed at the West wedding in 2014.

Four years later, though, they had a fallout over West’s controversial tweets in support of President Trump — and the rapper shared their private text conversation on Twitter.
Legend said that’s not what caused the pair to drift apart, though.
“I don’t think we’re less friends because of the Trump thing,” Legend told the Sunday Times.
“I just think we’re doing our own thing … We’ve both got growing families and I no longer have a formal business relationship with him as an artist, so I think it’s just part of the natural cycle of life,” Legend said.
He said that their interactions have always been about “creativity and music,” and now they’re in a “different place” musically.
Legend didn’t mention whether his wife was still close with Kardashian, but the women have been known to keep their relationship separate.
“Are we still doing dinner Friday or no lol,” Teigen tweeted after the 2018 incident when West shared Legend’s texts on Twitter.
“Yes but maybe no phones,” Kardashian responded.
