Here are three side jobs to consider if you need (or want) extra income.

Online Tutor

  • Average pay: $21/hour, according to ZipRecruiter

If you have expertise in a specific subject, you may be able to land a job as an online tutor. Computer and IT skills courses are especially in demand, according to FlexJobs. Varsity Tutors, Chegg and TutorMe are just a few of the platforms where you can find online tutoring gigs.

And Day 10: How Investing a Little Bit Each Paycheck Goes a Long Way

Rideshare Driver

  • Average pay: $16-17/hour, according to Glassdoor

There is currently a rideshare driver shortage, so you’d definitely be able to stay busy if you become a rideshare driver for some extra cash. Uber announced in April that it had temporarily boosted driver’s earnings as an incentive to get them back on the road, so drivers in some cities are now earning as much as $37 per hour.
