3 Stocks Moving Wednesday

Shares of Streamline Health Solutions Inc. (STRM) jumped more than 20% on the back of the company posting its financial results for the third quarter Tuesday afternoon. For the quarter ended Oct. 31, the company reported a 3.5% decline in revenue to $6.4 million, beating expectations by $0.13 million. Earnings per share were breakeven, beating the expected loss of six cents.


President and CEO David Sides explained the increase was due to professional services and some recurring revenue. The company achieved growth with existing clients but also gained new customers.

"Our bookings momentum continues to build, growing to $1.9 million in the third quarter as we realize some of the potential in our expanding pipeline of current clients and prospects, primarily around eValuatortechnology and Auditing Services," Sides said. "We are pleased to have closed our fifth new eValuator deal in the month of November and anticipate closing more new deals before our fiscal year end".

On the other hand, shares of MongoDB Inc. (MDB) fell on the back of the company reporting its financial results for the third quarter of fiscal 2018 on Tuesday. The company posted a loss of 44 cents, which beat expectations by four cents but was lower than the 40 cents reported in the year-ago quarter. Revenue increased 57.8% to $41.49 million and beat the consensus estimate of $39.6 million.

Further, the gross profit reached $30.4 million, representing a 73% gross margin consistent with the year-ago period. Non-GAAP gross profit was $30.7 million, representing a 74% non-GAAP gross margin.

The company"s guidance for the fourth quarter is solid. It expects revenue in the range of $42 million to $42.5 million and a non-GAAP loss from operations between $21 million and $21.5 million, or 42 cents to 43 cents per share.

Shares of PayPal Holdings Inc. (PYPL) surged Wednesday morning after BMO Capital Markets analyst Paulo Ribeiro raised the target price to $85 from the previous price of $80.The stock has gained almost 90% year to date.
