Miner Benefits From China's Limits

The owner of the largest rare-earth metals supply outside China is trading higher this morning after Beijing regulators reduced quotas for the minerals by 11 percent. The move by China's Ministry of Commerce is expected to deepen the worldwide shortage of natural materials used to make a wide variety of products, including smartphones. MCP is up more than percent in the pre.

MannKind Rises After FDA Delay

The drug developer had been expecting a decision tomorrow on its widely anticipated inhaled-insulin treatment but said the Food and Drug Administration needs another four weeks to complete its review of Afrezza. Traders are taking this as a positive sign and are bidding up MNKD by more than 7.5 percent this morning.
