Molson Coors Brewing (TAP) earned 55 cents in Q1, 83% better than Q1 '13, driven in part by a $63.2 mil benefit received from the early termination of a joint venture in Canada. Revenue declined 1.5% to $816 mil. Meanwhile, Anheuser-Busch InBev (BUD) earned 87 cents a share, well below estimates and 25% below a year earlier. Revenue rose 15.7% to $10.6 bil, beating views. Molson Coors shares rose 3.7% to 61.95. Anheuser-Busch rose 1.8% to 108.32.
