The Newport Beach, California-based company said it had a loss of 57 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs and stock option expense, were 13 cents per share.
The technology patent licensor posted revenue of $6.5 million in the period.
In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company's shares hit $3.95. A year ago, they were trading at $3.25.
