FRANKLIN, Tenn. (AP) -- Behavioral health services provider Acadia Healthcare Co. said Wednesday that it completed its purchases of two former competitors.
In early December Acadia agreed to buy Behavioral Centers of America for $145 million and AmiCare Behavioral Centers for $113 million. It said the two deals closed on Monday.
The acquisitions give Acadia four psychiatric facilities in Ohio, Michigan, and Texas run by BCA, and four facilities in Arkansas run by AmiCare. Acadia Healthcare has 42 facilities in 21 states.
Acadia Healthcare shares rose 67 cents, or 2.9 percent, to $24.03 in morning trading amid a broad market rally.
