Aerb Bamboo Docking Station ($9)

Aerb Bamboo Docking Station

This bamboo docking station is essentially an attractive block of bamboo with some well-placed grooves and hollows. It’s designed to act as a stand for both your Apple Watch and your iPhone. You’ll have to slide in your own cables. There’s a special groove for the Apple Watch cable, but the Lightning cable just comes through a hole in the back. The rounded bamboo finish is practical and blends in easily with most surroundings. This docking station is also great value.

Mkeke Apple Watch Stainless Steel ($29)

If you don’t want to spend $449 on an official stainless steel bracelet for your Apple Watch, then this bracelet from Mkeke is a great alternative. At only $29, it’s a pretty hard deal to beat. It is available on Amazon at both 42mm and 38mm. Made from 316L stainless steel, this is a solid and very durable Apple Watch band. It’s compatible with Apple Watch Series 1, Series 2, Sport, and Edition versions. The color of this bracelet is space gray, but the seller does warn that it may not be a 100 percent color match with Apple’s space gray. It has a double folding clasp, and the best part is that there’s an adjuster included, so you can remove links to adjust the size to fit your wrist. It comes with a 1 year warranty that promises a refund or a replacement.

Zagg Invisible Shield Screen Protector ($15)

Zagg Invisible Shield Screen Protector

It makes sense to protect your Apple Watch screen. It could pick up scratches and scrapes that will spoil the look. Zagg makes great screen protectors for phones, so you might be tempted to try this one for the Apple Watch. It’s supposed to be invisible once applied and it can self-heal to an extent, making minor scratches fade. However, reviews are decidedly mixed. It can be very tough to neatly fit a screen protector and the rounded face of the Apple Watch can cause problems.

Small scratches should fade, thanks the “self-healing” properties of ArmorSuit’s range. You get everything you need to fit the protector, just take your time and follow the instructions. Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable ($30)

Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable

It’s dull, but it’s likely to be a necessity because you only get one charging cable in the box with your new Apple Watch. It’s typically expensive at $40 for the two meter version. You can save $10 if you opt for a one meter cable instead. They both come with Apple’s MagSafe technology, which makes it easy to attach the cable to the back of your watch, as magnets will pull them together to hold the cable in place.

Rest Composure Charger Dock ($74)

Rest Composure Charger Dock

Here’s another charging solution with a walnut finish. This one also plays host to your existing charging cable, but instead of holding your watch in an elevated position, it’s designed for you to lay your watch flat on top of it. It is weighted and has little protective pads to keep it from slipping. It’s also made in the United States, and Rest is planning a complementary set of docking stations for the iPhone as well. The retail price is going to be $94.

X-Doria Defense Edge ($18+)

X-Doria Defense Edge

This protective case can be snapped onto your Apple Watch, and it has a black rubber lining with an aluminum exterior in your choice of gold, red, blue, or silver. There are accurate cut-outs to ensure easy access to watch functions, and it should safeguard against scratches and bumps. It’s a fairly minimal design, and the aluminum is intended to match the classy look of the Apple Watch, but it’s a matter of opinion whether it manages to do so.

Griffin WatchStand ($30)

Griffin WatchStand

Here’s a really smart idea at a fairly attractive price point. Griffin’s stand actually employs the cable that comes with your Apple Watch and allows you to stick your watch at an easily viewable angle on the nightstand for recharging. You can wrap any excess cable inside the body to hide it from view. The base has padding to prevent it from slipping, and there’s a little lip that allows you to prop your iPhone below the watch.

Lunatik Epik Apple Watch Kit ($26+)

Lunatik Epik Apple Watch Kit

We really don’t know too much about the Epik from Lunatik other than the fact it will be a protective system, which should add a higher level of dust and water resistance. Lunatik makes a good line of iPhone cases with great drop protection, so this will be worth a look if you need rugged protection for your new watch. The company is promising protective vents and a premium aluminum design. It should pop up on Kickstarter soon.

The Tough Armor case by Spigen is one of the best cases you can buy for your iPhone, so why not use it for your Apple Watch as well? Like their Ultra Hybrid cases, the Tough Armor case uses Spigen’s Air Cushion technology to guard the Apple Watch from bumps. It combines a soft TPU interior for shock absorption, and a polycarbonate exterior. The lip is also raised 2mm to provide protection for your screen. One of the best things about the Tough Armor cases is that it provides the drop and shock protection that you usually get with bigger cases, but without the bulk. The back and the interior TPU are always black, but the top of the case comes in Gunmetal, Champagne Gold, or Rose Gold.
