SAN DIEGO (AP) _ Adamis Pharmaceuticals Corp. (ADMP) on Friday reported a loss of $8.9 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the San Diego-based company said it had a loss of 21 cents.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 15 cents per share.
The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $3.8 million in the period, which also fell short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $5.4 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Friday, the company's shares hit $2.78. A year ago, they were trading at $4.70.
