HOUSTON (AP) _ Adams Resources & Energy Inc. (AE) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $3.6 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Houston-based company said it had net income of 86 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were 42 cents per share.
The oil and gas company posted revenue of $452.4 million in the period.
Adams Resources shares have declined almost 7 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $40.49, a rise of 6.5 percent in the last 12 months.
