'He is an adult.' Commenters are annoyed at the mom-shaming Victoria Beckham is getting for her son's tattoos

“Have they not seen his father?”

“Question should be, did she raise a good gentleman?”

A little quadrant of the Internet is incensed with Victoria Beckham over her son’s tattoos, after the designer and former Spice Girl shared a photo of the two of them on Instagram.

In the snapshot, Brooklyn Beckham’s ink is there for all to see — including critics of the scrawlings on his chest and arms who have made their opinions known in the comments section of Yahoo Lifestyle’s original article.

“ONE TATTOO IS TOO MANY,” one reader put out aggressively. “Every person who gets a tattoo eventually wants it removed,” another commenter advised the family.

Beckham herself has not always supported her son’s body art. In fact, her husband, the heavily tattooed David Beckham, accompanied Brooklyn to get his first piece of ink.

But now, despite having gone through the painful process of tattoo removal herself, Victoria Beckham seems to have embraced her son’s art:

Many Yahoo commenters have set aside their views about body art to defend Victoria Beckham from the mom-shaming she’s experienced online, pointing out Brooklyn’s age and independence.

“He’s an adult who is capable of making his own decisions,” one reader said. “I see absolutely no reason to criticize Victoria for it.”

“Listen, I’m no fan of tattoos, but he’s an adult and can do that to himself if he’d like,” another commenter said. “There’s no mom-shaming necessary here.”

Other commenters turned the shaming around: “When I get so bored with my own life that I have to go online and tell others how to parent and live their lives…I’ll find a hobby.”

The rest just focused on the positive: “By all accounts this family is HEALTHY, functional and loving,” one commenter left. “Leave them alone, they’re happy.”

“Pretty sure she’s wiping her tears with $100 bills,” another reader said.

What do you think? Is Posh Spice culpable?
