PONTE VEDRA, Fla. (AP) _ Advanced Disposal Services Inc. (ADSW) on Thursday reported a loss of $20.1 million in its fourth quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Ponte Vedra, Florida-based company said it had a loss of 24 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 20 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 4 cents per share.
The solid waste services provider posted revenue of $352 million in the period, falling short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $352.3 million.
For the year, the company reported a loss of $30.4 million, or 44 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $1.4 billion.
Advanced Disposal Services expects full-year revenue in the range of $1.45 billion to $1.48 billion.
Advanced Disposal Services shares have dropped 1 percent since the beginning of the year.
