Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (AEIS), a global leader in precision power conversion and advanced thermal processing solutions, today announced that its Onyx-S and Onyx-S2C optical temperature pyrometers have gained Rockwell Automation Add-On Profiles (AOPs), enabling plug-and-play connectivity into Rockwell Automation controlled systems.
These AOPs are custom software wizards that allow quick and easy configuration of third-party devices to communicate with Rockwell Automation control systems. Advanced Energy worked closely with Rockwell Automation to develop AOPs for the Onyx-S and Onyx-S2C with features that enable our customers to quickly integrate optical temperature pyrometers into their new and existing thermal processes.
“The new AOPs for our Onyx-S and Onyx-S2C pyrometers make it easy for customers to incorporate our sensors into the EtherNet/IP network within the Rockwell Automation integrated architecture,” said Mark Ritzheimer, senior product marketing manager for Advanced Energy. “This gives OEMs and manufacturers improved flexibility, control and faster time-to-market when selecting precision temperature measurement sensors for their demanding industrial applications.”
