CALGARY, Alberta (AP) _ Advantage Oil & Gas Ltd. (AAVVF) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $18.5 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Calgary, Alberta-based company said it had profit of 9 cents.

The oil and gas company posted revenue of $53.7 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $212 million, or $1.13 per share. Revenue was reported as $179.2 million.

The company's shares closed at $2.07. A year ago, they were trading at $1.60.
