AUSTIN, Texas (AP) _ Aeglea Biotherapeutics Inc. (AGLE) on Tuesday reported a loss of $17.2 million in its first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Austin, Texas-based company said it had a loss of 59 cents.

Aeglea shares have dropped 6.5% since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 28% in the last 12 months.
