SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (AP) _ Aeterna Zentaris Inc. (AEZS) on Tuesday reported a first-quarter loss of $4.9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Summerville, South Carolina-based company said it had a loss of 30 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and research and development costs, came to 14 cents per share.
The drug developer posted revenue of $37,000 in the period.
In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, the company's shares hit $3.80. A year ago, they were trading at $1.90.
