S.Africa will urgently add power capacity to address crisis: Ramaphosa
JOHANNESBURG, July 25 (Reuters) - South Africa will urgently add more power generation capacity to the grid and ease regulatory requirements as part of steps to address an electricity crisis, President Cyril Ramaphosa said in an address to the nation on Monday.
Ramaphosa added that the National Treasury was working on a sustainable solution to struggling state utility Eskom's mammoth debt burden, saying that the finance minister would make an announcement on Eskom's debt at the October mid-term budget.
