TORONTO (AP) _ Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. (AEM) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $205.2 million.

The Toronto-based company said it had profit of 84 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 67 cents per share.

The results matched Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 67 cents per share.

The gold mining company posted revenue of $928.4 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $511.6 million, or $2.10 per share. Revenue was reported as $3.14 billion.

Agnico shares have increased roughly 1% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $71.01, an increase of 19% in the last 12 months.
