TYSONS, Va. (AP) _ Alarm.com Holdings Inc. (ALRM) on Thursday reported second-quarter profit of $13.8 million.
The Tysons, Virginia-based company said it had profit of 27 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 40 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 32 cents per share.
The security service company posted revenue of $121.7 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $109.7 million.
Alarm.com expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.39 to $1.41 per share, with revenue in the range of $460.2 million to $465.7 million.
Alarm.com shares have fallen nearly 3% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $50.52, a rise of almost 5% in the last 12 months.
