NEW YORK (AP) _ Alcentra Capital Corp. (ABDC) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $2.1 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had net income of 17 cents. Earnings, adjusted for investment costs, came to 20 cents per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 20 cents per share.
The asset management and investment group posted revenue of $6.1 million in the period, also meeting Street forecasts.
Alcentra Capital shares have risen 27% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $8.22, a rise of 33% in the last 12 months.
