Alcoa to kick off earnings season
Alcoa's earnings are the main event on today's calendar.
The aluminum producer will release the numbers after the closing bell.
Tomorrow's agenda is more active, with weekly mortgage-application and crude-oil numbers due. The Federal Reserve will also release minutes from its last meeting. Progressive and Constellation Brands announce results before the opening bell, followed by Bed Bath & Beyond in the afternoon.
Thursday brings retailer monthly same-store sales, initial jobless claims, and import/export prices. Family Dollar, Pier 1, and Rite Aid report in the morning, followed by NQ Mobile after the closing bell.
Friday's big events are earnings from JP Morgan and Wells Fargo. The producer-price index, consumer sentiment. and Fastenal's numbers also come out that day.
