THIS IS NOT A DRILL, people.
Braves prospect Austin Riley is finally headed to the majors, and he deserves immediate fantasy attention. Please go hit that “Players” tab in your league to see if he’s available.
Riley has been destroying baseballs at Triple-A Gwinnett, slugging .681 for the season with 15 home runs in 37 games. He’s hit 10 bombs in his last 50 at-bats, so it’s safe to say he’s locked in.
We’ve been hyping Riley for weeks, because his binge has been too impressive to ignore. He’s spent nearly all of his minor league career at third base defensively, but he’s also seen time in the outfield this year, offering another path to the big leagues. And now Ender Inciarte is dealing with a back issue. Thus, it’s Riley time.
Riley should be long gone in N.L.-only and deeper dynasty formats, but he should be on the radar for mixed league managers, too. This will serve as last call. Add wherever you can use a power boost.
