Alexander's reports 4Q results

PARAMUS, N.J. (AP) _ Alexander's Inc. (ALX) on Monday reported a key measure of profitability in its fourth quarter.

The Paramus, New Jersey-based real estate investment trust said it had funds from operations of $28.1 million, or $5.49 per share, in the period.

Funds from operations is a closely watched measure in the REIT industry. It takes net income and adds back items such as depreciation and amortization.

The company said it had net income of $17.9 million, or $3.50 per share.

The real estate investment trust posted revenue of $58.1 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported funds from operations of $114.9 million, or $22.46 per share. Revenue was reported as $230.6 million.

The company's shares have declined 11 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 16 percent in the last 12 months.
