Alkame Holdings, Inc. Provides Business Update

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Jan 7, 2015) - Alkame Holdings, Inc. ( OTCQB : ALKM ), a publicly traded health and wellness technology holding company with a focus on patentable, innovative, and eco-friendly products today provided an update of comments from its CEO, Robert Eakle, regarding its recent business progress.

Eakle commented, "In early 2014, the Company and its Management team continued to focus on driving shareholder value by creating a first in class diversified holding company with multiple potential revenue streams. It is clear that in a short period of time, we have demonstrated our ability to gain traction in the marketplace with our brand Alkame Water, which we have the exclusive rights, and are continuing to see greater demand."

Alkame uses a patented technology that creates water with several unique properties which allow the body to absorb and utilize it more efficiently and help to achieve an optimal pH balance. The patented Alkame technology also increases the available oxygen content and absorbability which equates to more fuel for improved metabolic efficiency, boosted immune system, and improved cardio respiratory function.

Eakle added, "During the past year, we secured Avanzar, our very first distributor, and have since established relationships with many of the key distribution networks that now puts us in a position to penetrate additional market coverage in select markets across the US with groups that include UNFI, Natures Best, River Valley / Cavallero, Natural Wayz, Charm City, and Senuca. Also, during the past year, we have significantly strengthened our balance sheet by raising additional working capital, giving us confidence in our ability to continue to deliver product as demand continues to increase.

Our growing retail presence for our bottled water products have confirmed what our initial market research had indicated. In this highly competitive arena, there is room for a superior product with health and wellness benefits. While it's difficult to get this initial placement, we've had wonderful sell thru and we continue to evolve our product lineup after significant market research. We changed our packaging and labels several times to better position ourselves and our brand. We are focused on building brand awareness, product benefit recognition, and a strong foundation.

Alkame Water, Inc. has made other major strides throughout the year. The consumer bottled water division had originally started out with one simple product, a half-liter. Today, our current product line now consists of a 16.9oz (half liter), 20oz., 33.8oz (1 liter), two Premium gallon configurations, and a 1.5 liter is scheduled to be added in 2015.

We're also very proud to have brought to market Alkame Kids, the most recent addition to our product offerings. We are pleased that it provides parents a clean high quality fluoride free kid's drinking water, with all the added benefits of an electrolyte enhanced water, without all the sugar, calories and flavorings of common sports drinks. Alkame Kids is a premium electrolyte enhanced drinking water that will mix well with formula, cereal and juices. This is revolutionary in the water industry, and can be used from ages infants on up.

We think it's imperative to support our claims with due diligence and research in order to ensure that we are providing the ultimate health and wellness water. This year we formed an independent science and technology committee to run clinical trials in order to obtain information regarding the efficacy of our unique water. The team is led by qualified and unbiased professionals that include: Dr. Pietro Baio, Andrea Visak (RDN CSSD Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Sports Dietitian), and Tammy Miller (Chemist & Biologist). We are currently in the process of running a trial on muscle recovery, and look forward to finishing the trials in early 2015. This study coincides with our three other completed clinical trials, and once the results are announced, we will launch additional clinical trials on endurance parameters.

As a new and emerging brand, we've done some very creative marketing with out of the box ideas to create exposure and brand awareness on a limited budget. We are proud of our accomplishments and achievements in hitting our expected major milestones with our marketing efforts. We are also experiencing heavier traffic via our social media efforts, which are proving to be positive trends going forward.

In regards to these social media efforts, we first moved into online sales with AMAZON, one of the largest e-commerce partners out there. We could not have found a better partner to help us reach out to our loyal group of customers who continue to purchase our product, who in the past had no local distribution in their markets. We also benefitted over the past year when one of our brand ambassadors, Danny Green of the NBA champion San Antonio Spurs was featured in a new commercial that we had produced for our brand with Saylor Brothers Entertainment. During the NBA playoffs, Danny Greens' competitor Lebron James who at the time was playing for the Miami Heat suffered leg cramps and had to be carried off the court. Danny Green had tweeted about his positive experiences drinking Alkame, and as a result, the tweet went viral and our brand got tremendous visibility which assisted in increasing our audience and generating tremendous sales for the Company. Amazon was continually sold out for several months straight due to the increase demand for our product.

As mentioned, it is our intent to continue to diversify our technologies and product offerings in the profitable water industry. It is with this in mind that we recently entered into the aquaculture industry with the acquisition of privately-held High Country Shrimp and expected closing of an acquisition with Xtreme Technology, another privately held company. We anticipate that with our ongoing development of Alkame in the Aqua Culture sector, that we should see an even greater increase in demand once the Xtreme acquisition is consummated. This will enable us to show our long term goals, as well as proof of concept for use of this water treatment system, prior to expanding to a much larger scale within the aquaculture industry.
