LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Nov 12, 2014) - Alkame Holdings, Inc. (
The double-blind Muscle Recovery Research Study (Alkame vs. Tap water) is currently being conducted in partnership with several leading professional Mixed Martial Arts groups and has been designed to provide further real world data and documentation of the sports performance and recovery benefits of drinking Alkame Water. The study consist of monitoring of several key athletic performance and recovery factors directly after aerobic and anaerobic exercise, including lactic acid and urine pH levels, heart rate, body temperature, and blood pressure. The Muscle Recovery Research Study has been developed and overseen by the Alkame Science and Technology Advisory Group, consisting of Tammy Schaible Miller, Dr. Pietro Baio, and Andrea Visak.
Phil Daru, Head Strength Conditioning Coach and Owner of Daru Fitness Performance, reported, "The results of the test show that Group A actually showed signs of improvement in lactate level threshold meaning they would have been able to do work longer at a constant rate rather than Group B where I saw a decline in work capacity after the 3rd day of testing. Also Group A had a noticeably slower heart rate reserve meaning that their heart rate was more stable after higher intensity then that of Group B. From the results of the test, I am certain that Alkame Water aided performance in my athletes tremendously."
Tammy Schaible Miller commented, "In the preliminary study conducted by Phil Daru, Alkame Water has once again proven to be beneficial to performance athletes. The double blind study conducted using Alkame Water vs. tap water showed that extremely fit college and professional athletes that were given the Alkame Water had a decrease in heart rate, as well as lactic acid levels immediately after intense training. His would mean that they could work longer at a more constant rate. We are very pleased with these preliminary study results and we are confident that further data will show similar results."
Dr. Pietro Baio DC, added, "The preliminary results are in from Phil Daru's training camp and as we had anticipated, each of his athletes showed a measurable decrease in resting heart rate as well as a decrease in lactic acid levels post training. I am sure that a larger sample size will show the same results. Now after spending months putting together this performance based study for Alkame Water, I feel we are just weeks away from making a huge scientific breakthrough that will get people's attention. Alkame Water is well on its way to proving that their mild alkalinity and micro-clustering technology has performance enhancing abilities and decreases recovery times for the elite athlete. Alkame Water is a legal performance enhancer for any sport."
Robert Eakle, CEO of Alkame Holdings Inc., concluded, "Studies like this one are an extremely important part of our strategy to building Alkame Water into a globally recognized and admired brand. The further scientific validation of Alkame Water will boost our new business development plans with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers, and will also help to show consumers that we are serious about science, performance, and safety. Over the next several weeks, we look forward to receiving the testing results from other training camps that will be added to our current data set for the study, after which a final review of the results can take place."
