CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) -- Allegiant Air has announced plans to offer nonstop flights between some Iowa cities and the Punta Gorda and Fort Myers area in southwest Florida.
The Las Vegas-based airline, which is a unit of Allegiant Travel Co., says direct flights from Cedar Rapids will begin Dec. 18. Flights from Des Moines will begin a day later. And flights from Moline, Ill., will begin Nov. 1. They will fly into the Punta Gorda Airport in the Fort Myers area.
Some fares will be as low as $99.99 each way for tickets from Cedar Rapids and Moline, Ill. Some one-way tickets from Des Moines will be as low was $119.99.
