CHICAGO (AP) _ Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc. (MDRX) on Monday reported a loss of $5.7 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Chicago-based company said it had a loss of 3 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 17 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 13 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 16 cents per share.
The electronic health records company posted revenue of $444.2 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $444.6 million, which fell short of Street forecasts. Nine analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $450 million.
AllScripts expects full-year earnings in the range of 67 cents to 70 cents per share.
AllScripts shares have climbed 20% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $11.59, a climb of 19% in the last 12 months.
