CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (AP) _ Amdocs Ltd. (DOX) on Tuesday reported fiscal first-quarter profit of $115.9 million.
The Chesterfield, Missouri-based company said it had profit of 85 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.06 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.05 per share.
The provider of computer systems integration posted revenue of $1.04 billion in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.03 billion.
For the current quarter ending in April, Amdocs expects its per-share earnings to range from $1.03 to $1.09.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $1.03 billion to $1.08 billion for the fiscal second quarter.
Amdocs shares have increased slightly more than 2% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $73.89, a rise of 31% in the last 12 months.
