CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (AP) _ Amdocs Ltd. (DOX) on Tuesday reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $124.3 million.
On a per-share basis, the Chesterfield, Missouri-based company said it had profit of 90 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.06 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.03 per share.
The provider of computer systems integration posted revenue of $1.02 billion in the period, which met Street forecasts.
For the current quarter ending in July, Amdocs expects its per-share earnings to range from $1.08 to $1.14.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $1 billion to $1.05 billion for the fiscal third quarter.
Amdocs shares have fallen nearly 9% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $53.46, a drop of 19% in the last 12 months.
