The Houston-based company said it had a loss of 38 cents per share.
The natural gas pipeline company posted revenue of $172.8 million in the period.
American Midstream Partners shares have risen 72% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Friday, shares hit $5.21, a fall of 49% in the last 12 months.
